The Golden Eagle has been crafted by owner Michael Lennox. Is is located in the building that once housed H. Harper Rail Station. It’s inspired by the restaurants of days gone by with a clubby atmosphere and food Lennox describes as “no-nonsense, throwback continental classics of yesteryear.” That translates to Tavern steak au poivre and broiled oysters along with Corpse Reviver cocktails. The decor looks to be dark and moody, with red plaid carpet, vintage glassware and crushed velvet seating. It may just be the best bar in Georgia.
